The organizing committee has decided that in 2008 we are inviting
the best 8 players (4 boys and 4 girls) and 2 coach’s from 6 countries;
the Canada, England, Israel, Mexico, Serbia and the United States.
All of these countries have well developed tennis associations.
Each year thereafter, we will be adding 6-8 additional countries so
that it will become the premier International event for 14 and under
children in Georgia.
During their weeklong visit here, the players will be active
in the community. In addition to the tournament, they will be
visiting Childrens’ Health Care (the recipient of our funds)
and interfacing with children their own age. Many will probably
develop life long friendships. They will also have the opportunity
to visit the Georgia Aquarium (the world’s largest), the new Coca-Cola
Museum, CNN Headquarters, the Panda Bears at the zoo and many other
sights in the area. Additionally, they will be dining nightly with
different families in the community. If you would like to entertain
some or all of the children, please fill out the registration form
on this site. (link to Volunteer Form)
On the Monday and Tuesday of the event we will be having a
Friendship Tournament. This will allow children from the Southeast
U.S. to play with the future pros. Keeping in mind that our visitors
are excellent players, we encourage you to sign your children up to
play in this fun tournament. Registration forms can be found on this
website and e-mailed or faxed to us.(Depending on the number of
responses there will be a qualify tournament to select the best
players for the Friendship Tournament) |
